Saying goodbye is never easy.

It was 10am by the time I surfaced. Joyce, Callum and Logan had been up for a couple of hours but knew I needed sleep. I actually didn't feel too bad and was soon up and on the go...the Kubb game was soon back in full swing. Logan again was on the Norwegian team.

Eirin soon made up a fine breakfast for us all and after a few coffees, some tasty eggs and bacon and various local cheeses we were all feeling better...well, those of us who had overindulged last night felt better.

Unfortunately today we had to leave Inndyr again. We have pushed it a bit to make it this far north in rather a short period of time and we are well aware that we still have a lot of miles to do to get home. I really hate only being able to stay here for such a short period of time but staying another night would put too much pressure on us to get back south and into Denmark and we don't want that pressure. So it was with a really heavy heart that we had to say our goodbyes. I am terrible at this an d feel quite sad, but I am really happy that we made the effort and Dag and Eirin too were really happy to see us all again. Hopefully it will not be 4 years before we meet again, I am pretty sure it won't be.

We left Inndyr with the hope of making it down to Mo I Rana for the night. But the lure of the Salstrumen fishing was too great, Callum was desperate to try and fish so we stopped for an hour. This however is not a safe bit of water for 2 young kids to be fishing so he was a bit unhappy that I didn't really let them fish. Nobody would stand a chance in the crazy bit of sea if they fell in, you would never swim against the current and would probably be sucked down to your death. We called it quits and after meeting mum again who said there were nice lures in the shop we went in and spent a pretty penny on some new shiny lures. Callum and Logan were chuffed to bits. Fishing is definitely gonna be a hobby we pursue more in the near future.

We headed along the 812 road which is really beautiful, it was a bit drizzly but it didn't matter now. And then joined the E6 south across the Arctic Circle where we had to make an obligatory stop for photograph's and souvenirs. It not every day you and your children cross such a famous invisible line or visit such a place and just like at the Nordkapp  4 years ago we certainly fell for the tourist trap shop and I am pretty glad we did....postcards and few wee gifts are all sorted out for the relatives and friends back home.

It is now after 9pm and we have found a nice parking area on a smaller road adjacent to the E6. It's our latest stop and out latest dinner but that doesn't matter. We are where we wanted to be and we'll on our way south towards Trondheim.
